The Heritage Hall, 83 Essex Street Guelph, is open for tours during June, July and August.
Tours are available on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
Price per tour – $7 for adults and $5 for students.
Take a tour of the Heritage Hall. This historic structure was built in 1880 by formerly enslaved Black individuals and their descendants who came to Canada via the famed Underground Railroad. Learn about the history of the building and the artifacts in the GBHS collection, check out the “Freedom Project” addition, take a picture in front of the Underground Railroad mosaic tile art display and look around the Flora Blizzard Francis Library of Black Literature!
