Join us on Thursday October 10, 2024 at 1pm for our next Phoenix Seniors Club meeting at Heritage Hall, 83 Essex Street, Guelph. Presented in collaboration with The Buttahfly Initiative we will present a talk by Ola Olatunji owner of Vital Roots Produce.
Ola is a farmer with a background in civil-engineering. He co-founded Vital Roots Produce, in 2019, along with his wife Cassandra. He has been steadily honing his craft, but still considers himself an aspiring farmer. While he has an affinity for all kinds of edible and medicinal plants, his vision for Vital Roots Produce is to become a source of the vegetables that have been a key source of vitality to people of African descent. He has become well acquainted with the challenges of producing some of those vegetables in this climate, and he loves to share his experiences.
