Seniors Club - October 9, 2025 | Guelph Black Heritage Society
October 9, 2025

Join us on Thursday October 9, 2025 at 1pm for the next Phoenix Seniors Club event at the Heritage Hall, 83 Essex Street, Guelph.  The Heritage Hall is fully accessible.  Refreshments will be provided and transportation is available.  This event is presented in collaboration with The Buttahfly Initiative.

This month our guest speaker will be Rachel Iris Grant, therapist and wellness professional.  Rachel will present “Hope and Healing: A Workshop on Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Self-Care”.  This workshop offers a compassionate and practical overview of dementia and Alzheimer’s, exploring their impact on individuals and caregivers. Participants will learn to recognize key signs, understand the challenges of caregiving, and discover effective self-care strategies to maintain well-being and resilience. Together, we’ll build a supportive community focused on strength, understanding, and hope.
