Freedom Ceremony – June 19, 7–9 PM
Location: Heritage Hall, 83 Essex Street, Guelph

The festival opens with an evening of reflection, celebration, and innovation. Guests will enjoy light refreshments, an introduction to the Black Heritage Reclaimed education program, and the premiere of The Quilt Awakens, a new augmented reality video game that brings Black Canadian history to life through interactive storytelling. This uplifting ceremony sets the tone for a powerful and engaging Juneteenth weekend.
