Are you ready to experience our vibrant Community Gospel Choir Workshop? You are in for something truly spectacular. Joy In The City Guelph, in collaboration with the Guelph Black Heritage Society, presents our next workshop: The Juneteenth Community Gospel Choir Experience, led by our Artistic Director & Choir Director, Verese Vassell-Bowen.
Participants will dive into a fully hands-on session where you won’t just learn about Gospel Music, you’ll perform it. From vocal techniques and harmonies, you’ll be guided every step of the way.
If you’re curious about Gospel Music or want to try singing in a group, this is a chance to step in and experience it for yourself. If you’ve attended any of our workshops, you’ll now get the opportunity to put together all the elements you’ve learned, for example, listening and blending, singing 3-part harmonies, learning songs by ear in a relaxed, supportive environment, and building confidence and connection as the music and voices come together.
At the end, you’ll come together in a powerful group performance, experiencing the joy of singing Gospel Music as a choir. All-level skills singers are welcome.
